Highest Export Performance for Hand Knotted Carpets

Jaipur Rugs Company Private Limited received two Bronze and two Gold Trophies for highest performance in export for two consecutive years, 2007-08 & 2008-09. The occasion was India Carpet Expo’10, where awards of trophies were bestowed for performance in carpet industry. Jaipur Rugs with its remarkable exports was honored with below mentioned awards of trophies:
Bronze Trophies: • “Region-wise Overall Highest Export Performance from Rest of India Region for year 2007-2008” by Smt. Rita Menon, Secretary (Textiles). • “Region-wise Overall Highest Export Performance from Rest of India Region for year 2008-2009” by Smt. Rita Menon, Secretary (Textiles).
Gold Trophies: • “Highest Export Performance for Year 2007-08, Hand-knotted Woolen Carpets excluding Indo-Nepalese Carpets” by Smt. Panabaaka Lakshmi, Hon’ble Minister of State of Textiles, Govt. of India. • “Highest Export Performance for Year 2008-09, Hand-knotted Woolen Carpets excluding Indo-Nepalese Carpets” by Smt. Panabaaka Lakshmi, Hon’ble Minister of State of Textiles, Govt. of India.
The Indian Export Promotion Council was established by the Ministry of Textiles of the Government of India to promote the export of hand-knotted rugs and all other types and styles of floor coverings from India. The council helps bridging the gap between the buyers and suppliers. In his message Mr. O. P. Garg, Chairman, CEPC, stated “The large varieties of handmade carpets and floor coverings have made it possible for India to become number one handmade carpet and floor covering producer and supplier in the world both in quantity and value.”
