Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Jaipur Rugs Foundation came into existence in 2004, with a vision to create a society where equality, justice and peace prevail through socio- economic development opportunities for all. Since inception it has strived to serve as a social innovator promoting the cause of artisans by providing them with decent work opportunities and thus leading them towards their socio-economic well-being. We have been working for uplifting their lives by touching the most far flung rural areas of India covering more than 600 villages across Rajasthan, Gujarat, UP, Bihar and Jharkhand.
Recognition of Prior Learning, a component of ‘Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY-2.0)’, is a flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
Under the purview of PMKVY-RPL (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana- Recognition of Prior Learning), we are going to facilitate Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) of 5000 carpet weaving artisans across the states of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh to fulfill the shared vision of governance, industry and our foundation.
Through this Programme we aim to align and certify the competencies of weavers working at the grassroots to the ‘National Skills Qualifications Framework’ (NSQF).
