Satrangi Yarana

Satrangi Yarana

Satrangi Yarana is a hand-knotted silk rug by Satish, Budhan, and Rajkuvar, weaving the seven colors and emotions of friendship joy, love, gratitude, hope, and more into a rainbow design centered with a flower, symbolizing unity and enduring bonds.

"Satrangi Yarana" (colorful friendship) is a story about the seven emotions and colors of friendship represented by a tangled, hand-knotted silk rug. These emotions include joy, love, comfort, gratitude, creativity, hope, and acceptance. Satish, Budhan, and Rajkuvar worked together on the same loom, never realizing they would develop a deep bond and protect each other from loneliness. They formed a close relationship, much like the warp and weft of a fabric. Together, they created a rainbow with four sides, representing the two phases of their lives - the dark past and the blurred future. The flower in the middle symbolizes their friendship, which is a present for them.
