She didn't start weaving carpets because she suddenly started loving it. It was just practical – a way to earn money when there weren't many other jobs available. But things are different now! She has a National Award for her carpet designs and new ideas, which really shows what a surprising journey she's had.
At first, Dhapha Ji wasn't sure. Making carpets looked complicated, and it wasn't something she had ever pictured herself doing. Still needing to help out, she agreed to learn from her husband, who already knew the craft. Learning wasn't always easy. Her husband was her teacher, and he wasn't always very patient. Sometimes he'd get frustrated and scold her if she made mistakes. It was tough then, but now Dhapha Ji understands. Those moments of learning together, with his impatience and her strong will to get it right, became part of their everyday life and quietly made them closer.
