私は現在、インターンシップ研修生としてジャイプールラグズ基金で働いています。
この組織の特徴は、貧困状況が著しいと言われているインドの農村部で、社会・経済的両方の面から発展を行っていこうとする姿勢です。
ただ貧しい人にお金を与えるだけではなく、彼らが自立して絨毯職工として収入を得られるように教育し、彼らが生産したカーペットを親会社であるジャイプール・ラグズ・カンパニーが海外に向けて販売して、会社として利益を上げています。
そうした絨毯職工、会社双方にとってWin-Winの関係を築こうという試みをしているのが我々JRFです。我々の取り組みに興味を持たれた方は、お気軽にご意見ご感想をお寄せください。
