The Proposal writer would be responsible
for:
• Develop compelling concept notes and proposals in
response to new funding opportunities, preparing reports
for our
existing supported projects, and leading on the
identification of potential new donors for the
foundation activities
• Work closely with the Management to develop concept
papers based on the emergency assessment outcomes, donor
interest and emergency response strategy.
• Identify information gaps blocking proposal completion
and secure the necessary information to complete.
• Rapidly revise, update and expand concept papers into
full project proposals as recommended by donors.
• Develop project proposals in such a way as to ensure
harmonization across projects and sectors to produce a
cohesive, credible and coordinated programme according
to agreed programme strategy.
• Draw up budgets for projects
Fundraising & Sector Awareness
• Be familiar with the requirements and formats of
different Corporate Donors, Organizations, Public
Trusts, and Government Departments etc with respect to
sectors, priorities, guidelines and what budget lines
are fundable and what are not
• Prepare and deliver creative and professional
fundraising proposals and presentations to decision
makers including senior management
• Designing all necessary materials in collaboration
with communications team
Project
Cycle Management
• Technical appraisal of project proposals and budgets
and management of documentation involved in approval of
projects (e.g. contracts)
• Management of project reports - timely review and
feedback
• Facilitate reviews/assessments/evaluations and audits,
both internal and external
• Draw up strategies to sustain the impact of
interventions and a smooth withdrawal
• Coordinate all the administrative work involved in
project cycle management |
